Spring Cleaning Newsletter: Laws & Policies

General

Now that we are well into 2024, it is very important that you conduct an internal semi-annual review to ensure your company’s policies and procedures are following the latest Federal/State/Local laws and regulations. It is highly recommended to consult with your Labor Law Attorney, Legal counsel, and/or HR consultant(s) to review your companies distinct obligations.

Examples to consider, but are not limited to:

  • Handbook
  • Work Agreements
  • Time Off Policies
  • Pay Policies (Minimum Wage, FLSA Overtime, Meal Premiums, etc.)
  • Timekeeping Practices & Rules (Missed Meals, Rounding, OT, etc.)
  • Out of State Laws & Policies
  • Trainings & Certifications
  • Annual Posters, Notices & Distributions

To help keep you informed, here are some examples of resources that should be visited and subscribed to regularly:

If modifications are needed for your account, please submit a ticket to IBSsupport@ibspayroll.com outlining the changes needed.

Infrastructure Updates

Earlier last month, UKG announced to us that they will be updating their network infrastructure to improve overall system performance. All our clients will be affected by this downtime, and users will not be able to login during the maintenance window.

Important Dates:

  • Test: March 14th (System Downtime 9:00 PM PST – 3:00 AM PST)
  • Actual: April 18th (System Downtime 9:00 PM PST – 3:00 AM PST)

During Downtime you should expect the following:

  • Access to WebHCM – users will not be able to log in
  • Offline Punches – an offline punches screen will be available for web punching. Punches will be imported automatically once downtime has been completed
  • Time Clocks – Kronos InTouch clocks will be unavailable, as they require a “live” connection to the system. Punches from other clocks will be uploaded once testing has completed.
  • Noahface – Punches from the NoahFace app will be uploading once testing has completed
